Pasifika culture was on full display this afternoon at the Wellington Pasifika Festival at Odlins Plaza. Thousands attended the annual event showcasing culture, crafts, and Island cuisine. Festival goers were reminded of COVID-19 safety hygiene protocols throughout the day. One of the day’s highlights was the Pacific Cuisine Cook Off comprising an array of Chop Suey from the different food stalls, which was won by the Porirua Samoan Methodist Youth.
Wellington Pasifika Festival is the first to kick off the Pasifika festival circuit for 2021. Pasifika Wire was proud to celebrate the event.
